Remodeling St. Joseph Church
The project of remodeling the interior of St.
Joseph Church, in keeping with the post-councilar guidelines, was completed
in 1966 at the cost of $2,738. The changes encompassed:
- The communion rail was removed
- The Altar of Sacrifice facing the people was placed in the sanctuary
- Gold carpeting was installed in the sanctuary
- Church proper and sanctuary was repainted
- Custom furnishings designed by Hotmar Construction Company
- Ladies Altar Sodality added the finishing touches to the beautification
of the sanctuary
During Rev. Feyereisen's tenure, the membership of
St. Joseph Parish increased to almost 900 parishioners.
